    • Seeing's how this is where the Women's Olympic Marathon Movement started... it seemed only fitting to have a picture taken of former 1 start general V8... here at the LA Marathon... seeing's how Joan was the winner back in 84... and V8 is now a 2 Star !!!!

    • I just love these Patriot Runners.  Wish we could get all the DJ's etc... to stop the music when these guys go by... it's so awesome to see runners willing to do this at every race around the country!!! Never Forgotten!!!!

    • Two days out.. just back from meeting with Andrea and new Exec. Director Peter... all systems are go!

    • This USAF Top, ran the Cleveland Marathon with a Never Forgotten Tribute/Salute Rucksack Frame Pack On.  I was able to see him coming at the start... so we could all pay tribute to the "running on colors" as he crossed the start line with old glory flying proudly (above the MIA/POW, All Branches and Never Forgotten Flags) and brought the music down and out... At the finish.. I had received a note from LTC Kruse the Commander of the 2-238 AvBn Blawkhawk Helo GuardDogs...which was a perfect way to welcome the First Sgt home.. reading words of encouragement from a fellow active duty warrior... who had run with me weeks before at Camp Beuhring on the Iraq border... in the 500 Festival Kuwait Mini Marathon..... Very Patriotic Theme this year at the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon.. and that is in huge part due to Rite Aids commitment to the troops... their families... and fellow employers in the case of the Guard and Reserve Deployments... I look forward to seeing Top at this years USAF Marathon!!!!!

    • Didn't see this banner till after the race... it had been up above where everyone came in... all week long.... 2 days of Expo and of course race day... I'm talking with these women Bosses after the race and I'm like ... holly $%#%^& batman.. what the heck is that...   they're like you didn't see that till now.....    Very Humbling to think that they'd go to such trouble...   Let me tell you .. Big Sign aside... the Fargo Marathon.. as I, Coach GP, Mike Reilly... TBone, Dick Beardsley... and others can tell you... is one special damn race... gotta do it if you have never... it's a one of a kind experience!

    • SFC C... you know how I felt about the man... most of the 2-172 Mtn Inf crew from back in the day remembers as well.   He's with us every step..every crank.. every step we take... in the good times and the hard times.. always....   NEVER forgotten Chris... and this event is so important... he'd by like "what's the fuss...let's not make anyone do any extra work...."     Stoney rules and always will my friend!

    • Special thanks to Scheel's for setting up this Hero Wall... everyone got to have their picture taken...and sign the banner...which will be hung at the HQ Store in the weeks to come.   Also thanks to the FD Runners that raged all over this course.. as either runners or EMS Staff today...   Be safe Gang!

    • T Grogan is one of America's greats...she's a civilian Deptarment of Defense worker stationed out of Maryland... on assignment in Iraq... working with Centcom Iraq on all sorts of stuff.   Robi got to meet her on his Till They're Home Tour... as she was his escort.   Everyone knows Robi's a little on the ADHD side of the fence... and he swears up and down..that he had a hard time keeping up with Thersa...    To Theresa "T" and all of our Troops..and Government Employees that are serving our country in harms way... Godspeed... come home safely!!!

    • We have to share this photo.... and the story that unfolded on video tape just prior to it's taking...   SSG Shawn Monk works under LTC Accamando in PA for the PA Air National Guards 171st Air Refueling Wings Public Affairs Office.  Shawn was attached to the live race day functions of Robi.. when Robi flew in from Indy... and joined the various regional TV networks for race day coverage of the inaugural.... 20th ... Pittsburgh Marathon... (it's a new race... in a City where Larry got it all started 20 years ago...)  anyway... as Robi bounced around... Mike who was on assignment as the live PA Voice... took time out to do interviews for the Military AFN shots that were being created.... and live on tape... Mike gave a super shout out to all the troops... from around the World...  declaring them ALL Ironmen in his heart and mind...    let me say that again.. Mike Reilly.. declared them ALL Ironmen... in his heart and mind...   You want to talk about cool.... You want to talk about a great American...   How many Dreams Come True has Mike witnessed and talked about in his career as the Voice of Ironman ???   Shawn sat there filming the interview... and Robi just about had a heart attack.. when Mike said that simple statement.. cause for those of you that know Ironman... to have Mike say what he did... and connect the way he did on film with the Troops... is just absolutely beyond words...   Mike is not only a great voice... human being... but he is a true American....  We at RunnersWall Salute Mike for ALL that he does for the Endurance Sports Community.. and Especially our Warrior Runners!!!

    • LTC Accamando the director of the 171st Public Affairs Department was the Stateside producer of the firstever Till They're Home Tour event at Sather Air Base in Baghdad, Iraq.  It was LTC Accamando and LTC Painter's staffs that made it happen at the unit level... LTC Rainey and Burt of Centcom Iraq that made it happen with all the DOD Staffs... absolutely amazing man... and leader...   HORRAH!  

    • Pitt PD - Salute !

    • After the 7th Inning Salute to our Troops during the Pirates game Robi (before dropping off the field...like he was suppose to... ooooopppppsssss ) saw this Pitt Officer over by the 3rd base dug out...   He walked over... introduced himself in person and told the officer of the Air National Guardsmen that he had been with in Baghdad just days prior during the remote race that he covered... how many of them were PA Law Enforcement Officers... and how they had held a moment of silence for the Pitt Officers that had been killed... over in Baghdad the weekend before...    There was no question that this officer "felt the love of the blue line so far away....."

    WOW! That’s about all I can say in response to the complete video with all the footage from here and Pittsburgh. Well done, it makes you smile, gives you goose-bumps and makes you proud to be a part of the military!! The interviews from the actual race day were great! Dutch tells me you’ll be back here in July for a race on Victory. Looking forward to it. We really appreciate all that you have done and all that you continue to do for the troops!! It’s very important and it means so much to all of us and our families.
